Peperomia Argyreia "Watermelon"
Limited units Its beautiful rounded leaves reminiscent of the skin and the shape of a watermelon —watermelon in English— have made the small Peperomia argyreia one of the most appreciated indoor plants. Its size - between 15 and 30 cm high, even 10 cm in its mini version - makes it very easy to find a place in any bright corner of the house. It is considered low maintenance and easy to grow, perfect for those who have little time or have little experience in plant care.
🪴📏 Description
Our "Watermelon" come in a 12 cm diameter pot and are about 15 cm high. Each plant is different, the photo on the card is an example of the one you will receive.
☀️🌤️ illumination
Indirect light is very important. If you place it in a place with low lighting the variegation will decrease and the leaves will turn greener. So find a well-lit place to get the most out of your leaves.
🌡 🌡 Temperature
Peperomias, like most semi-succulents, can withstand temperatures below 5ºC.
💧💦 Irrigation
Its fleshy leaves indicate that it does not need much watering. It is enough to give it water once a week (in autumn and winter even less), but not before checking that the surface of the earth is practically dry. It is very sensitive to excess water in the substrate or the bottom of the pot (take this into account if it is inside a pencil holder without a drainage hole), which can cause stains on the leaves or the death of the specimen.
🏝️💨 Humidity
If you live in a dry environment, there is heating or you put the air conditioning, it is convenient to spray its leaves often. One solution is to place them near a humidifier or place a plate at the bottom of the pot with balls of clay or volcanic clay and water - without touching the pot - to increase the humidity. Another trick is to place several plants together, they cooperate with each other, form their own ecosystem and share the humidity they generate with each other.
💩🪴 Fertilizer
You can use a little liquid fertilizer dissolving it in irrigation water every 15 or 20 days in spring and summer, or choose to stick fertilizer bars every 2 months.

🪴🔍 Curiosites
Watermelon roots don't like changes too much, so try not to transplant your new plant right away until you see the roots come out of the pot. If you put it in a pot that is too big, it may suffer.
